Statement of RFPI International Board

Established in 1983 USA, RFP (Registered Financial Planner) designation has evolved into a leading worldwide certification, trusted by thousands of professionals who leverage the iconic RFP mark to make themselves to be one of the most outstanding professionals in the global field of financial planning.

RFP designation has been sponsored and issued by Registered Financial Planners Institute (a.k.a. RFPI, RFP Institute). Since 2025, to further advance the professionalization of the RFP designation and reinforce the organization’s member-centered public welfare and independence, RFPIRFPI was in the process of transitioning to a non-profit entity. To enhance services for professional financial planning practitioners worldwide and advance the professionalization of the financial planning industry, RFPI International Board was established to serve as the highest governing body of RFPI with the authority of regulating RFP-related designation and driving its globalization initiative.

RFPI International Board shall fully assume and protect the intellectual property rights and goodwill associated with RFP designation to globalize its literacy, establish RFPI International Alliance for cross-region collaboration, unify the global brand identity of RFP designation and standardize the application of its intellectual property rights globally.

Additionally, RFPI International Board will spearhead efforts to strengthen exchanges and cooperation among professional financial planners globally. It will provide more professional and sustainable services to ARFP, RFP and SRFP candidates and designees globally, promote the standardized development of the financial planning profession, enhance the professional standards of societal services, and contribute to the improvement of global social welfare.
